Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) project lead, managing a large team of specialists to provide strategic advice and prepare the EIA Scoping Report, Environmental Statement (ES), and Health Impact Assessment (HIA), to support a hybrid application for the regeneration of a high-rise housing estate to provide 1,760 homes and up to 10,000 sq.m of new flexible commercial space

The redevelopment also provides public open space, new access, and extensive road improvements. The scheme requires phased demolition of existing high-rise buildings, phased decanting of residents, and substantial earthworks.

Key considerations included traffic flows and potential noise, air quality, heritage, and daylight and sunlight impacts.

The application was successfully approved by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council Planning Committee March 2021.
